Birthdays on the Today screen
Upcoming birthdays appear above your due contacts for the week ahead.
If a contact has a date of birth, their birthday shows in a Birthdays section at the top of the Today screen during the week leading up to it.
The section only appears when there is something in that window, so it stays out of the way the rest of the year. Birthdays are anchored to the calendar day you stored, so they do not drift across time zones.
- 1Open the contact and tap Edit.
- 2Set the date of birth.
- 3Save — they will appear in the Birthdays section when the day approaches.
You can switch the birthday push notification off on its own — see Turning off birthday notifications.
